I only just saw this and was so sad to see it. I saw Larry regularly for years at Heavenly Temptations where he enjoyed a scone or some lunch. I’d also see him at the Y and at the Farmer’s Market……I always enjoyed our brief chats, and he frequently mentioned his wife Mary. I hope they are happily reunited now

My name is Ursula Michalowicz, and I met Larry at the Great Books discussion group. I quickly became aware of his
unbelievable sense of humor. No matter what book we discussed, if Larry was present, we would have many a good
laugh.
Again I ran into him at the YMCA during Yoga, and we became "mat neighbors". Before class we would chat and one could
hear us laugh all over the place. There was something special about his sense of humor which was full of wit and cleverness.
Larry went by bus to New York on a regular basis to get his hair cut. That's where we met again as I frequently went into the
city to meet with friends or to visit an art exhibit. I notices a "strange habit" of Larry's. Each time the bus passed the Boonton
cemetery, he would raise his hand and wave. I asked: "What is this all about?" - Answer: "I wave to Mary, my dear wife!"
Anyone who was so fortunate as to meet Larry will praise him forever as a man of kindness, intelligence, and a boundless
sense of humor.

I am saddened to learn of Larry's passing. Having only moved to the area in 2016, I was touched but the witty, warm man I used to see at weekly mass and the YMCA. Larry's jokes were the best part of our Tuesday yoga class.
As striking to me was the steadfast presence of his son, Paul.
I wish Paul and all of this special family peace and healing at this difficult time. ~Tracy

My condolences to Larry’s sons, friends & family members. Your dad came into my life through our shared interest in drawing and attending yoga classes at the Y, although the first time we talked is when he asked to sketch me during my commute on the Lakeland bus and I knew right away that we would be good friends. Larry was 10 years older than my late father, who was also named Larry, but he had a great way of relating to people of any age and was an awesome listener and commentator over many Denville lunches. Larry got me back into life drawing and back into life, quite honestly, after some bad times hit. He had a way of making light of things when the rest of the world kept taking themselves too seriously. May you Rest In Peace with your dearest Mary, Larry, you will be greatly missed.

Our sincere sympathy to the Milbauer family. Doctor Milbauer, our dermatologist for many years, always spoke so lovingly of him and after reading his obituary we were amazed at his incredibly full and satisfying life. May he rest in peace.

I met Larry six years ago while we were both doing Cardio Rehabilitation at Saint Clare's Hospital. He was 90 and I was 66. When I heard his name announced, knowing it was not all that common I introduced myself to him and asked if Dr. James Milbauer was his son. He said yes and I explained James was my Dermatologist. He said "you could do worse"!. I just laughed and learned this was Larry's style. Another time I reminded him Dr. Milbauer was my Dermatologist and he said "Good, he needs the money"! From then on I always spoke to Larry for the 12 weeks or so of Rehab and always enjoyed his sense of humor. R I P Larry!

Larry's Loss is the World's Loss. He - along with Paul - was ALWAYS a pleasure to both see and say Hello to, however brief the encounter. The day was always a better day after such encounter, for it often brought a good-humor quip from him, that then brought a smile to your face. He will be missed.

My heartfelt condolence to the family, Mr. Milbauer was such a wonderful man and I loved our conversations, every time he came into the office he would make me laugh and tell me stories, he was such bright light on a dull day, and always left me with a smile.
My heart is truly broken by his passing. Rest in Peace Mr. Milbauer, you are with your Lovely Mary at last. Jo-Ann Rochette

My sincere condolences to Paul, John and James, on the loss of my good, longtime friend. I will miss our monthly lunches at Heavenly Temptations in Boonton, in many ways, we were kindred spirits. I will always remember his quick wit in the midst of our deep philosophical discussions. He was generous, upright and essentially kind. I will miss him. Father Lasch

Larry was such a dear friend- he always made me laugh and taught me so much about living He was a delight to be with- the way he would suddenly burst into song or tell an off-color joke. I will never forget his dry humor conveyed with a deadpan expression. I will really miss him!
