Our Dearest Jen!
We met many moons ago when when our boys were in Pre-K 3 at Valley View. We shared the bond of having boy preemies. During November of Pre-K 4, Maya joined our crew and Jen fell in love with "her girl". Jen was always so protective of the boys, but this was her 'girl' as she would always say.
Fast forward to Kindergarten and the transition to Cedar Hill and all the shenanigans that the boys participated in together in and outside of school. The memories of all the crazy party ideas that came to my head for the class parties in 3rd grade and Jen having to convince others to allow them! She was a great partner in crime through the Halloween, Holiday, and End of the Year parties as well as the field trip to Liberty Science Center! Also the Rocket Club that started in 3rd grade and all the frantic phone calls as I sped to make it before the launch! When the Fifth grade committees opened, I suckered her into being Co-Chairs with me for a few of them.
Before the boys were off to 6th grade, I told her about a great deal we got for a trip to Mexico through Costco! Within that week, Jen was able to book a trip and met us there. This is where many memories were made! From the dance off, to the monkey attack, to the pool hopping, to all the Amaretto Sour Slushies, and then all the food! That was a memorable trip for all!
We shared the love of all kiddos, especially all of ours! She was an amazing friend, shoulder, ear, partner in crime and more. I have missed calling her on my way home from work, or on my way to losing my shopping cart at Costco, or driving my girl to her dance. We would chat about so many topics throughout the year- about our highs and lows with our own kiddos or our school kiddos. We would constantly bounce ideas off of each other and laugh the whole time.
Throughout the years, life would get crazy, but we would always reconnect periodically and we would never miss a beat. From the nerves of the start of the school year to Halloween costumes and parent teacher conferences, then all the food for Thanksgiving and of course... "What is Santa bringing?" As we rode the wild rollercoaster of the school year, we would start thinking of the summer plans- which pool we would join or where we were going on vacation.
This past year was challenging. She fought such a brave and strong battle. I would call and leave messages telling her about different things to try to get a smile or laugh. I have never been so excited to see that bubble with the three moving dots. Those were the best moments.
One thing she loved more than anything else in the world was her family. Bryan, Aiden, Dylan, and of course, Hailey (finally her GIRL!)- were her life. She adored them and loved them always!
Jen, I am so proud to call you one of my dearest friends. I miss you and think of you often- but knowing you are out of pain and enjoying a few drinks up there in paradise brings a slight smile. Keep sending those signs of monkeys and RED cardinals!
Love you!

I am so beyond blessed for the love, acceptance, and selflessness my aunt has shown me in our time on earth together. Every second we had together was special and I will hold every single one of our memories close to my heart. Her impact lives on through the hearts of so many and I could not be more proud to have such an amazing aunt. I love you forever, Aunt Jen!
