I am so saddened by the news of the passing of a most wonderful man. He was recommended to fix a water problem in my basement & wound up becoming an admired & trusted friend. We developed a great rapport & though I only knew him about 1 1/2 years, he told me we were family. When my husband was in the hospital & rehab last summer, he was especially helpful. I received an early morning text one day saying he would return later to finish cleaning up the mess from the fallen branch. I had no idea about a fallen branch. Evidently when he was driving around the neighborhood at about 5 AM he noticed that a large branch had fallen onto my driveway. He immediately removed it & filled a trash can with the smaller branches & leaves. So typical of Mike. He also fired a mason who raised his price rather than tell me a job would cost more. And what contractor comes to a job with a dozen bagels for his customers?
He was a gentleman, had a great sense of humor, & fiercely loved his family. My deepest condolences to his wife & children.

This one is tuff. My fellow first time grandpa. We took on this new role together the day our little grand daughter was born. We were both excited beyond words. I can remember our first phone call right after Hayden was born. We were both going on about her like two school girls discussing who and what she would call each of us . We both then had a laugh about how two tough guy builders were chatting about baby grandpa names. We talked a bunch on the phone whether it be about our kids , (Meg and Chris ) projects we had going on or any upcoming events or holidays. We would also text each other randomly with "Hey grandpa how are you doing " Nobody really knew we spoke but we did. We were proud grandpa's. It was a privilege to get to know you Mike. I'm grateful chris and Meg found each other and brought us our beautiful little granddaughter and our two families together. You will be deeply missed but I know you will be keeping Hayden and the family safe from above in heaven and I will keep our grandpa duties intact here as long as I can. Rest easy Mike. We love you
Fred.
