Obituary of Peter William Leist

Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peter Leist, 62, of Denville, NJ died unexpectedly on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Peter was born in New York City to Ellen and Arthur Leist and grew up in Montville, NJ.  He discovered his niche in financial planning and was the founder and manager of Leist Financial Group.

Peter was fun, caring, and adventurous. He had a great love for the outdoors and could often be found riding and racing bicycles, mountain bikes, and motorcycles. Peter also loved hiking and kayaking with his wife, Sarah. Another passion was his love of music; he enjoyed listening to his classic vinyl collection at home and rocking with friends at live concerts.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Albanese; his cherished sister, Liz Adams and brother-in-law, Larry Krivitzky; his adored niece, Jennifer Adams; his uncles, Michael Wall and Michael Gapin and his wife, Sandy. Peter leaves behind many good friends who were like brothers and sisters to him, and his pet pals, Santana and Fatsy.
