Bruce Edward Walsh, 82, of Boonton, NJ passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 following a short illness.
Born in Morristown to Harold and Shirley (Emery) Walsh, Bruce graduated from Boonton High School and attended Rutgers University. He worked at Macy’s and was the Quality Control Manager for Quality Control Assurance at General Hose in Fairfield for over 20 years.
In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed taking daily walks around the neighborhood, watching classic car auctions, admiring the beauty of flowers in bloom, and showering his dog, Sneaker, with lots of love and even more treats. He was a beloved brother and uncle, affectionately called “Uncle Moose” by his nieces and simply “Buh” by his grandnieces. Bruce was a very private and independent man, so it wasn’t easy to know him well. Those who did truly felt special to be allowed into his life and are now left feeling blessed to have known a great man who will be fondly remembered for his colorful commentary and quiet kindness.
Predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Beverly; Bruce is survived by his siblings, Craig Walsh, Alan Walsh, and Barbara Walsh; his nieces and nephews, Patrick, Kevin, Megan, and Annisa; his grandnieces, Lela and Joya; and his beloved pet, “Sneaky Dog”.
Services are private and provided by Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton.
