Helga Erika Rotter, 83, of Montville, NJ, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Helga was born in Altenburg, Germany in April 1940 to Klaus and Lisellotte (Schmieder) Nebel. She graduated from technical school as a Chemist. Helga immigrated to the United States in 1959 and settled in Montville, NJ.

Helga worked as a Perfumer with Givaudan in Clifton and Teaneck, NJ for 33 years before retiring.

In her spare time, Helga liked to go to NYC, attend The Met and Lincoln Center and spend time with her family. She was known for being the best hostess and cook. She was a kind and compassionate lady who had an impact on everyone she encountered.

Helga is survived by her two daughters, Genevieve Rotter and Jacqueline De Gutis; her son-in-law, Brian De Gutis; and her granddaughter, Jocelyn.
