Kevin James Hendricks Obituary

Kevin James Hendricks Obituary

Kevin J. Hendricks, 68, of Denville, NJ, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Kevin was born in Jersey City, NJ to Theodore and Patricia (Crew) Hendricks in July of 1955. He graduated from William J. Dickinson High School in 1973. Kevin found his niche in communications and started working for NJ Bell, then continued his communications career in the field of technical support for the Human Resources Department with AT&T for the remainder of his career.

In his spare time, he liked to ride his Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide with his friends; taking long rides on the weekend to upstate New York. He also enjoyed going to a variety of plays, shows and concerts with his wife at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown. Kevin was fond of animals, music, trucks and sports cars. If you lived in the neighborhood, you would usually see Kevin outside in his driveway washing and detailing his Ram Hemi Truck or Harley (or both!). That is, of course, if he wasn’t out riding or attending a car show in Englishtown. He enjoyed the home he and Jean made with their beloved cats in their Indian Lake community.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Jean (Dolch) Hendricks; his two sisters, Gail Reuter and her husband Charles, and Karen Leale and her husband John; his brother-in-law, Theodore (Ted) J. Dolch, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrcia and Theodore W. Hendricks III; and his brothers, Jon Hendricks and Theodore (Teddy) W. Hendricks IV; and his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dolch.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton, with a prayer service at 6:00pm. Cremation will be private. To share a condolence with the family, please visit CodeyMackeyFH.com.
