Hayward R. "Buddy" Shearin, III Obituary

Hayward Robert “Buddy” Shearin, III, of Boonton, NJ, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 21, 2023. He was 75 years old.


The son of Hayward Robert, II and Matilda (Wright) Shearin, Buddy grew up in Boonton and graduated from Boonton High School. He was in the U.S. Army for three years during the Vietnam War but served his country stateside.


Once he was home, Buddy met the love of his life, Evelyn Wilczynski, and so began their 50 year story. He worked in packaging, retiring from LTS in West Caldwell. In his spare time, Buddy loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed movies and listening to music.


Buddy is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn, his brothers, Franklin Lewis and Arthur Lewis; his Hicks family - Larry & Terry Hicks, Patricia Simpson, and Denise Hicks; his nieces and nephews; and many friends.
