Obituary of Sandra Ann Terrill

Sandra Ann Terrill (Hodgins) passed away in peaceful slumber on Saturday, November 5, 2022, with her daughter, Cheyenne and sister, Kathleen at her side.

Sandy was born in Dover in July 1957 to Edith Lillian Leetch and J.T. Hodgins (predeceased).

Sandy is survived by her mother, Edith (Boonton); her daughter, Cheyenne (Boonton); her sister, Kathleen and brother-in-law, Gary Post (Rockaway); her brother; her nieces, Brittany (Texas); Heather (Rockaway); and Dallas (Rockaway); her great-niece and great-nephew, Gabrielle and Christopher (Texas); her brother, Normand “Redd” Trudell and sister, Clarice Trudell (South Carolina); her niece and nephew, Candice and Christian Trudell (South Carolina); as well as her Yorkie, Grizzly Bear.

Sandy spent her early childhood years in West Patterson before the family moved to Boonton, NJ. She worked her teenage years at Boonton Ave Deli, as well as Old Towne Deli before moving to South Carolina where she became a born-again Christian. Upon returning to New Jersey, Sandy attended Dover Business College and graduated as a registered medical assistant. She worked for Dr. Lewandowski for many years, then as a surgical coordinator for Dr. Ross J. Fox for nine years. Sandy then found a home at Zotec, where she worked as a medical coder and biller for a decade. She made many wonderful friends there. Sandy retired July 1st, 2022. She adored her home church, Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne, NJ, where she was part of the Welcome Ministry for several years.

Sandy was known and loved for her wonderful sense of humor, her wisdom, her strength, and her unending love.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 11th at 1:15pm at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. Arrangements were handled by Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beth Israel Worship Center.
