Obituary of Robert John Debold
Robert John “Bob” Debold, 78, of Lake Hiawatha, NJ passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Bob was born in East Orange to Paul O. and Johanna E. (Perthel) Debold in 1944. He grew up in Newark and moved to Pine Brook in 1960. There he met his childhood sweetheart and future wife, Irene Bialek, and they married in 1964.
Bob was a Grocery Manager for Kings Supermarkets until his retirement from the Mendham store in 2012. In his spare time, he loved fishing for trout and spending time at his house in Long Eddy, NY. Bob enjoyed watching football but most of all he loved spending time with his beloved family. His daughter Kim was his pride and joy, and he adored being Pop to his grandchildren, Court, Luke and Ant.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Irene; his cherished daughter, Kimberly Savarese and her husband, Michael; his adored grandchildren, Courtney, Lucas and Anthony Savarese; his brother, Paul Debold; and his sisters in law, Kathy Bialek and Kris Popovitch.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home in Boonton. Burial will be private.
