BOONTON TOWNSHIP

Helen R. MacKallor (nee Roscoe) died on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Victoria Mews Assisted Living in Boonton Township after a brief illness. She was 93. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, she lived in Boonton and Estero, Florida. In 1939 she obtained her Bachelors Degree from Temple University School of Nursing.

Mrs. MacKallor was a maternity ward nurse at Riverside Hospital, Boonton Township and a registered nurse at Community Medical Group in Boonton for 25 years before retiring in 1989. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Boonton

Her husband Morgan J. died in 2002.

She is survived by her three daughters; Janet A. Lawrence and her husband Peter of Boonton, Elizabeth H. Hall and her husband Charles of High Point, NC and Barbara J. MacKallor and her significant other Michael Manzo of Ledgewood; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch St., Boonton with interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Boonton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to the Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Dr., Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
