MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP---Gerda A. "Gerry" Bini (nee Jacobs) died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was 73.

Born in Antwerp, Belgium, she came to this country in 1958, settling in Paterson. She had lived in Montville since 1974.

Mrs. Bini was a homemaker and a self-employed knitter.

She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Montville Fire Department and a former member of the Women's Club of Montville.

Her husband, Joseph C. Bini, died in 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Gigi Cook and her husband Robert of Montville and Nichole Covart and her husband Donald of Boonton Township; a son, Joseph W. Bini and his wife Patricia of Montville; three brothers, Wilfred Jacobs and Dirk Jacobs of Belgium and Herman Jacobs of Spain, Also surviving are her six beloved grandchildren, Robert T. Cook, Melissa Zabriskie, Rebecca Campbell, Andrew Covart, Justin Covart and Cassandra Covart and five great grandhchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13th at 10:00 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at the Montville Reformed Church Cemetery, Montville. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM only at the funeral home.
