BOONTON---Arthur J. Kayhart died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 87.
Born in Montville, he lived in Boonton for 63 years.
Mr. Kayhart was a self-employed plumbing and heating contractor for many years before retiring in 2009.
He graduated from Boonton High School in 1941.
Art served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific Theater.
He was a member of St. John's Lodge #1, F & AM, Mountain Lakes and a member of V.F.W. Gus Ginder Post #242, Boonton.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ellen (nee Brabnac); a son Wayne R. Kayhart and his wife Theresa of Boonton and a daughter, Anita Brennan and her husband Herbert of Allamuchy Township.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13th at 10:30 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home
