Obituary of Andrew Gabriel
Andrew Gabriel died peacefully at his residence in Montville, NJ on Sunday July 19th. Andrew was born on September 20th, 1932 in Patras Greece. He came to the US in 1953 to sail on the World Glory tanker. After that he attended Boston University and studied business and accounting. After college, he was working in NY City when he met Judy Bleser and in 1959 they married. They raised their children in Ramsey, NJ. Andrew spent most of his career in the shipping and cruising industries and traveled all over the world.
Andrew was an avid reader, history buff, and story teller. He was very proud to be an American. He loved his grandchildren and was so proud of them all. Andrew will be remembered for his humor, intelligence, and wit. He loved to meet people and chat with them. Andrew will be sorely missed.
He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Michael, Nick and Peter. He is survived by his sister Mary, his children Suzanne, Stephanie and George and his “beloved” grandchildren Julia, Christian, Alexandra, Anastasia, Ariana, Jake and Max as well as many nieces and nephews.
