BOONTON TOWNSHIP---Margot E. (Beck) Engel died Monday, April 18, 2011 at Care One at Madison Avenue, Morristown following a brief illness. She was 77.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Middle Village, Queens, NY before moving to Boonton Township 45 years ago.

Mrs. Engel taught German at Grover Cleveland High School, Ridgewood, Queens, NY for 35 years before retiring in 1990.

She received her bachelor's degree in education from New York University.

Her husband, Egon, died in 1982.

She is survived by her niece, Laura C. Settineri and her husband Richard of Boonton; her nephew, George P. Koerner and his wife Zayda of Los Gatos, CA and Sandra, Sherylyn, Renee, Christopher, Alexander and Katherine, her beloved grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. The interment will be private. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
