Margaret “Peggy” Dittmar
Margaret “Peggy” Dittmar, 85, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at The Chelsea Senior Living Community, Montville, NJ.
She was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1934 to the late Stanley and Margaret (Polesiak) Siedzick.
Peggy married Joseph W. Dittmar in 1955 and settled in New Jersey, living there until relocating to Delaware in 1981, where she lived for over 37 years. She recently moved back to New Jersey to be closer to her daughter.
Peggy was known for her love of art. She was a member of the Millsboro, DE Art League and was very proud of her many watercolor paintings; several of which won awards in local competitions.
Peggy enjoyed yearly family vacations. There were many long road trips to exciting destinations, but her favorite trips were cruises to the Caribbean Islands and Bermuda.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Schempp and her husband Randall; and Carolyn Dittmar; her grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Schempp; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Peggy is predeceased by her brother, Peter Siedzick.
