Obituary of William Stanley Pohle

William Stanley Pohle, 86, of Boonton, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, with his beloved wife by his side. Born in Garfield, NJ to William and Maria (Lasker) Pohle, Bill lived most of his life in Boonton. Mr. Pohle proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After service to his country he settled back in Boonton and married the love of his life, Johanna Meyer and together they raised their daughter, Patricia. Bill was a bridge construction supervisor with the NJ Department of Transportation for many years before his retirement. "Pop" loved his family and town he lived in for many years, he was also a member of the Boonton American Legion where he enjoyed time spent with his father-in-law and fellow Veterans. Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Johanna and devoted daughter, Patricia DiCenzo. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 18th from 4-7 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 11:00 am in the funeral home followed by the interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
