BOONTON TOWNSHIP---Ralph Spagnola died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Clares Hospital, Denville. He was 85. Born in Newark, he lived in Parsippany for 26 years, then Wildwood Crest for 2 years before moving to Boonton Township in 1997. Mr. Spagnola was an advertising manager with Foster/Wheeler Corp., Livingston for 20 years before retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the European Theater as a radioman on LST-5 ships. His wife, Gina (nee Sibio), died in 1998. He was also predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Julian. He is survived by a son, John J. and his wife Susan of Boonton Township; two daughters, Karen M. Genoble and her husband, Tony, of Mountain Top, PA and Lisa Spagnola-DeStilo and her husband, Chris of Parsippany; four sisters, Lena Riccardi of West Caldwell, Mildred Riccardelli of Wayne, Fran Zuccarello of Pennsylvania and Marie Riccardi of Mount Arlington. Also surviving are his seven cherished grandchildren, Anthony John, Michael, Vincent, Joseph, John Ralph, Jake and Gianna. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover. Friend may call Tuesday 5-8 PM ONLY at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Ralph's name may be made to the Ralph Spagnola Memorial Fund (in support of youth sports programs), c/o 21 Wild Life Run, Boonton Township, NJ 07005.
