My heartfelt condolence to the Family. I am so sorry for your loss. There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death. As you cherish the many memories of your dear loved one, please reflect on the time when sickness, death and mourning will be no more. (Revelations 21:3,4) This is what our loving God Jehovah has promised and Jesus guaranteed the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the earthly resurrection. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 26:19, Psalms 37:10,11) May God’s word bring you comfort during this difficult time and in the days ahead as we await the fulfillment of His promises. jw.org

Dr. Leef came to FCCUCC as Youth Director and immediately made a difference. She gave unstintingly of her time and affection to youth and parents alike. She and Bob opened their home as she did her heart. There were sleepovers for the kids, hiking, skating and boating on the lake. "We" all spent many happy hours at Mountain Lakes. She tutored and guided the youth in her gentle caring way. We have kept in touch over the years even as her health failed. Rest In Peace dear friend.
My family and I extend our sincere condolences to her family as they mourn their loss.

Dr. Leef was our youth minister in Irvington, NJ in the late 1980's. Her kindness, and warm spirit, are things I will always remember. It wasn't until I was an adult that I came to realize just how impressive and accomplished Dr. Leef was outside of the church. Though I hadn't seen her in many years, she will always have a special place in my heart for being such an important part of my early teenage years.
"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.' Matthew 25:21.

I am extremely saddened by Dr.Leef’s passing. I was a student of Dr.Leef in 1973 immediately after discharge from the Marine Corps. Although tentative about “fitting in” as a veteran - and NOT a math major (fledging School of Business), Dr. Leef was an outstanding, patient and thoughtful professor.
She lived a life to be remembered and I will not forget her.

Audrey was a colleague at Montclair State who made every gathering better - through her insights, intelligence, kindness, diligence, and willingness to do whatever was needed to reach a consensus or accomplish a task. She was also a valuable and generous contributor to my doctoral research on MSU history. Audrey's positive impact has made the world richer in countless ways.

Audrey Leef remains always in our minds and hearts for her great achievements. However her special human qualities and dedication to MSTC, MSC, NSU serve as a lighthouse to all alumni. She was dependable, forthright, and always of high principle. It remains a joy and honor to have known her, and served together as fellow alumni.

I graduated Montclair State as a Math major in 1974. Dr. Leef clearly was a role model and led the way for us. I also had the pleasure of serving on the Montclair State University Foundation Board with her. She was passionate about the Foundation and attended meetings right until the end. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a remarkable woman.

What a wonderful, gracious, kind, and multi-talented lady Audrey was (and is in Glory). She was always responsive to us, when we reached out to her for advice or to share blessings.
We remember that Audrey was in the audience at the Darress Theater in Boonton in the early 2000's, when El gave a guitar concert. Spying Audrey, El honored her from the stage, and quipped that, with her skill set, Audrey could both explain to us the way to heaven and calculate our chances to three decimal points. She roared, along with the audience. Well, she is in glory, 100% certainty. What a lady!

I've know Dr. Leef since I was a young girl attending service at The Community Church of Mtn Lakes. She was always the sweetest woman. I was subsequently married in the church and had 2 children baptized at the church. As my children attended services there she was always so interested in their lives....but life caught up with us and we haven't been to the church in many years. She will be missed!
