Obituary of Gerald S. Anderson
Gerald “Jerry” S. Anderson, 89, of Boonton, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with his loving family by his side.
Jerry was born in Blakely, PA to his birth mother, Grace Jesse and raised by his father and mother Carl and Dorothy Anderson. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Anderson was the former owner of 3 B’s Cleaners in Denville, NJ. He retired from the Town of Boonton where he worked in the Water Department as a meter reader.
Jerry was an avid card player, golfer and bowler. He was longtime member and past president of the South Boonton Field Club where he enjoyed the Friday night card games!
Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Ida (Spinozzi); devoted sons, David, Glenn & his wife, Linda and Richard & his wife, Madelaine; cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Brett, Samantha and Austin; loving sister, Ruthie Rollman & her husband, Ed; dear sister-in-law, Anne DeBellonia and brothers-in-law, Gabriel Spinozzi and his wife, Lynda, and Carmen Granato; also many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sons, Jerry and William; sister, Joan Budd; sister-in-law, Helena Granato.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 12th from 5-8 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ.
