Obituary of Robert Richard Pengitore

Robert Richard Pengitore WWII Veteran Accomplished Alto Sang in Local Band Robert Richard Pengitore, 94, of Boonton, New Jersey, formerly of Whiting and Parsippany, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the NJ Veteran's Memorial Home in Paramus, New Jersey. Born and raised in Orange, New Jersey, Robert was the son of Anthony and Frances (Lanfrank) Pengitore. He proudly served in the United States Army and was an Honorably Discharged World War II Veteran. Robert was an electrical worker for many years at Automatic Switch in Florham Park, New Jersey, retiring in 1988. His passion in life was his family and singing. Robert was an accomplishe tenor who sang in a local band in Essex and Morris Counties. Surviving are his beloved wife, Ella C. (Gengaro); devoted children, Roberta (Kevin) Sheridan and Richard Pengitore; loving sister, Marie Scaturro; and cherished grandchildren, Conlin (Anna), Taylor and Kiley Sheridan, Jake, Brody and Corey Pengitore. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, New Jersey 07005. Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 am in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, East Hanover, New Jersey.
