Obituary of LuAnn Markowitz
LuAnn Markowitz, of Montville, NJ, formerly of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. She was only 60 years old.
Born in the Bronx, NY to Frank and Carolyn (Straniero) Barba, LuAnn married Robert Markowitz and lived in Glen Rock for 25 years before moving to Montville in 2014.
LuAnn was a dental assistant at the office of Dr. Theresa Michaud in Glen Rock, NJ for 10 years before retiring.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Robert; devoted daughter, Sara Moltisanti and her husband, Adam; cherished grandson, Lincoln; loving mother, Carolyn (Straniero); and dear sister, Paula Soricelli. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Barba.
The family will visit with relatives and friends at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07450 will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00am.
