I cannot believe I just stumbled across Ernie‘s obituary only now.
I met Ernie in 87 when I worked as a summer intern in ny. We shared an office. We often went out for lunch, had many talks and occasionally ‚painted the town red‘
We even met again on linz, austria, as he came for s visit to hq.
Ernie was one of a kind. So kind, considerate, gentle, friendly.
I am so fortunate to have known him.

On Monday, April 10th, I had to say a final goodbye to a trusted friend. A kind and gentle soul, in a world, that is often neither. Ernie was one of kind in the world, and our world was better, because he was part of it. Our lives were better, because he was in them. The words spoken at his service, by clergy, family and friends, all shared a common theme. His incredible ability and devotion to give and help, always. It was never about him, but about everyone else. An unselfish soul, in every possible manner. Ernie will be terribly missed by so many. I am so sad that he is gone, but he will not be forgotten. He is in my heart forever. Love you Ernie... Rest in Peace.

Ernie was truly a calm and empathetic spirit, who was so kind. If it weren't for Ernie and his housing program, I would have been struggling with my development as a young man. He really provided the strong done to help me find maturity and a place to live and thrive outside of Jersey.
Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to be ambitious and productive, despite the regulations set in your housing program. I counted it all as a blessing and your way of investing in me.
It's my prayer and my wish that the family of Ernie knows how much Ernie will be respected and remembered for his contribution and battle towards humanity, housing and HIV resources. He was a leader and I light in my life.
Somehow, I hope his housing program can continue to thrive and stand, long after his passing.
Peace and prosperity to Ernie's spirit, his family, friends and his loved ones.

To the family of Ernest McCullough
Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ some may say words of encouragement please go to JW.org for words of encouragement
Sincerely,
Roberta

Family and Friends of Ernest McCullough;
I've known Ernie for 11 years he was a good neighbor and friend . I will miss him tremendously, but I find peace knowing that Ernie is in a place where there is peace and love. Ernie was a man filed with love for mankind and had a very peaceful soul.
Ernie loved Christmas and would call me next door every year to proudly show me his tree, we would exchange a gift, a card, . He would warn me ahead of time that it may become noisy because he was having a Christmas party.. I would just laugh and say "are you kidding me have a great time"
Losing a friend, and neighbor is very sad, but I have to celebrate the life of Ernest McCullough because with his presence he made this world a better place.
God bless his family, my sincere and heart warm condolences .
