BOONTON---Robert J. Schelhorn died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home following a long illness. He was 65.
Born in Plainfield, he lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Boonton 19 years ago.
Mr. Schelhorn was a receiving clerk with Shop-Rite Supermarkets, Morris Plains for 20 years before retiring in 2007.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Joanne (nee Taubert); a son, Daniel J. of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Heather Dawn Riely, also of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Bridget Riely; a sister, Barbara Riepe of Scotch Plains and two brothers, Edward and David, both of Plainfield.
At his request and the request of the family, all funeral services will be private.
Arrangements were by Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton.
