Alice Kenner Obituary

DANBURY, CT---Alice (nee White) Kenner died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Maplewood at Danbury Assisted Living following a brief illness. She was 90.



Born in Albany, NY, she lived in New York City, then Boonton, NJ for 43 years before moving to the Danbury area in 2002.



Mrs. Kenner was the office manager for Lancaster Chemical Co., Carlstadt, NJ for a number of years before retiring in 1959.



She attended McGill University, Montreal, Canada.



She was married to her husband Philip at the Brotherhood Synagogue, New York and maintained her affiliation with the synagogue for the rest of her life.



In the Danbury area, she was active with the Danbury Music Centre.



Her husband, Philip, died in 1995.



She is survived by a son, Adam Kenner and his wife Jocelyn of New Rochelle, NY; a daughter, Toni K. Pepe and her husband John of Danbury; three grandchildren, Mara Bishop and Sarah and Philip Kenner and a great granddaughter, Violet Bishop.



Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 12:00 P.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ with interment to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Cedar Knolls, NJ.



Memorial contributions in Alice's name may be made to Brotherhood Synagogue, 28 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY 10003.
