Joseph John Gagliardo, 84 of Port Saint Lucie, FL passed away at home on February 17, 2016. Funeral is from the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave. Boonton on Tuesday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Rd. Montville at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Visitation is on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1931, Joseph lovingly served his country in the US Marine Corps. from 1951 – 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was the proud proprietor of 4J's Towing, and was an avid Mets fan. Joseph had a passion for teaching skills and new ideas to his children and grandchildren, and was able to pass down his knowledge to the next generation. He could usually be found tinkering in the garage with his creations. Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Lydda Rose (nee Jean); loving father of Joseph Gagliardo, John Gagliardo and his wife Mary, James Gagliardo, Jeffrey Gagliardo and his wife Virginia, Leanna Russo and her husband Pasquale and Loretta Gagliardo; grandfather of Joseph, Tara, Danielle, John, Juliet, Lily, Michael, Sean, Matthew, Anthony, Marie, Nicolette, Juliana, Anthony, Angela, Alexa, Joseph and Leah. He was the dear great - grandfather of Dominic, Gianni, Chase, Cole, Isabella, John Paul, Michael, Brenna and Casey Mae. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Gagliardo and his family.
