William Fredrick Dyer Devoted Father, Brother & Grandfather William "Bill" Fredrick Dyer, 66, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015. A Funeral Service will be held in the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 on Monday, December 14th at 11:00am. The interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, NJ. To share a memory or extend condolences, please visit www.codeymackeyfh.com. A lifelong NJ resident, he was born in Englewood, NJ to Fredrick and Corinne Dyer and raised in Cliffside Park, NJ. Bill graduated from NYIT with a bachelor degree in Architecture. He lived in Wyckoff and Ramsey before moving to Mountain Lakes, where he lived for many years, ultimately settling in Boonton in 1997. Bill enjoyed his long career as an architect within the corporate and higher education sectors. In his free time Bill served as a leader within Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts from 1983 to 1995, enjoying the thrill of seeing his two sons rise to and join him at the rank of Eagle Scout. Bill was also an avid and highly accomplished genealogist and family historian. His research traced his family roots across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, dating as far back as the 13th Century. He is predeceased by his parents. Surviving are his devoted sons, Brad, of Boonton, and Todd and his wife, Julie, of Long Beach, CA; loving siblings, Alan, David, Nancy Rheel, Donald and Fred; and his two most cherished grandsons, Colton and Jonathan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's Memory given to Feed the Children, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73127 would be appreciated.
