Alma Marie Haller, 98, of Boonton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Alma was born in Queens, NY to her parents, William and Alma Christie, and has lived in Boonton since 1937. She worked in the cafeteria of the John Hill School in Boonton for several years before her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Haller was a dedicated member of King of Kings Lutheran Church of Mountain Lakes where she was the Saturday School Art Director. She was a Girls Scout Leader in Boonton and a member of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob; 1 sister and 6 brothers. Surviving are her son, Jack Haller of Boonton; daughters, Emile Dayan of PA and Jeanette Haas of Laconia, NH; also 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005 (973-334-5252) on today, Monday, October 26 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 145 Rt. 46 West, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046 on Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alma's memory given to the King of Kings Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated.
