Barbara B. Meyer (nee Becker), of Morris Plains, NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014. She was 85 years old.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ on Tuesday, July 15th from 7-9pm. Barbara was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Upper Montclair, NJ and resided in Mountain Lakes, NJ before moving to Morris Plains in 1984.

Mrs. Meyer was a graduate of Skidmore College with a bachelor degree in Sociology. Early in her career she was a realtor in Mountain Lakes. She retired as a claims examiner with the NJ State Department of Unemployment.

Barbara enjoyed her volunteer work at Morristown Medical Center. Mostly she enjoyed time with her family, especially traveling with her daughters, Karen and Wendy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Irving H.; a son, Robert L. and a daughter, Wendy M. Olson.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen L. Meyer; a brother Alfred R. Becker, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Livell and Linda B. Long; granddaughters, Kimberly, Stephanie and Kristina.
