Marianne Fliflet Wilson, of Mountain Lakes, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 6, 2014, with family by her side. She was 90 years old.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at The Community Church, 48 Briarcliff Rd., Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046 on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 10:30 am. Marianne was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and was the daughter of Thorleif and Magna (Agersborg) Fliflet. Marianne lived in Mountain Lakes for 79 out of the 90 years of her life. She graduated from Green Mountain College and worked at the Norwegian Embassy in Washington DC and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. She returned to Mountain Lakes to raise her family with her husband, the late Lyman F. Wilson. She was an active member of The Community Church, the Mountain Lakes Garden Club, Historic Preservation Committee, and the Shade Tree Commission. She provided historical background for the centennial celebrations of Mountain Lakes and The Community Church.

Surviving are her four devoted daughters and their husbands, Marianne and John Konopack, Irene and John Althaus, Helen and Joe Kearney, and Carolyn and Dino George; loving grandchildren, Jim Konopack and his wife, Sheryl, Jason Konopack, Elise Althaus and fianc Christopher Taylor, Christian Althaus and his wife, Jessica, Kaj Althaus, Joe Kearney, Jenny Lampe and her husband, Joe, Peter George, Bryan George, and Chrysanne George; cherished great grandsons Trenton and Oliver Konopack.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Community Church, the Mountain Lakes Garden Club, Mountain Lakes Historic Preservation Committee, New Jersey Foundation for the Blind, or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society would be deeply appreciated.
