Edward M. Reynolds Boontonite Fire Chief and Drum Corp Leader Edward M. Reynolds "Mr. Harmony", 71, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 04, 2014 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Ed was a lifelong resident of Boonton where he volunteered and gave his life to service in the community. He was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years and past Chief of the Boonton Volunteer Fire Department. A member for over 60 years and past Drum Major of the Harmony Sr. Drum Corp. A member of the VFW Post 242 of Boonton, the American Legion Post 279 of Lincoln Park and the Boonton Relief & Exempt Fireman's Association. He was devout lifelong Yankee Fan. Mr. Reynolds also proudly served his country during peacetime in the US Army. Surviving are his beloved wife of 41 years, Sandi (nee Fitch), devoted children Susan Thompson, Michele Reynolds and her wife, Stephanie Sayball, Beth Johnson and her husband, Dennis, and Edward, Jr., a dear sister Elizabeth Johnson, also 11 cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives, friends and volunteers are invited to visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ on Wednesday, May 7th from 4-8pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 910 Birch St., Boonton on Thursday, May 8th at 10:30am. Interment will be private.
