Robert Montecallo Devoted Father and Selfless Friend Robert Montecallo, 58, of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday April 6, 2014 shortly after playing in his final Rugby match. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to Elizabeth and James V. Montecallo and was raised in Hackensack, NJ. He graduated from Bergen Catholic HS, received a BA in History from Montclair State University and a law degree from Widener University School of Law. "Monte" was a respected attorney and a founding partner in the Hackensack Law Firm of Marino and Montecallo and was the Board of Adjustment Attorney for Edgewater and Cliffside Park. He was an enthusiastic member of the Montclair Rugby Club and an avid Jets fan. He enjoyed dining with his friends and family, traveling, and hitting a golf ball very far. What Monte enjoyed most was being a best friend to his children. He is predeceased by his father James Vincent. Robert was a devoted and loving father to his three children, son Robert "Jones" and daughters Allison "Babs" and Jaclyn "Little Jack". He will be deeply missed by his mother Elizabeth, brother Jim, sister Susan Pagano and their respective spouses Ivis and Chris, and as the favorite uncle of Gina and Lisa Montecallo and Jenna Pagano. All who knew Robert knew a good man. Friends may visit with the family at the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Avenue, Boonton, NJ on Friday, April 11th from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ on Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 am. Interment is private.
