Flora A. Taylor Obituary

RARITAN TOWNSHIP---Flora (Acheson) Taylor died Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Hunterdon Care Center following a long illness. She was 92.



Born in Washington, PA, she lived in Mountain Lakes for 55 years, then Boonton Township for 5 years before moving to Raritan Township 3 years ago.



Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.



She received her bachelor's degree in math education from Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA in 1940 and an advanced degree in library science from Carnegie Tech, Pittsburgh, PA in 1941.



She was a longtime member of The Community Church, Mountain Lakes, was active with Group 10 of the Women's Association of the church and volunteered at the church library.



Her husband, Thomas S., Died in 2003.



She is survived by two sons, Thomas S., III of Stockton and Alexander A. of Landing; a brother, Ernest F. Acheson of York, ME and three grandchildren, Matthew Moen, Sandra Lynn Taylor and Timothy Fox Taylor.



Funeral services will be held this morning, Wednesday, August 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com) 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions in Flora's name may be made to The Community Church, 48 Briarcliff Rd., Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046.
