William T. Tredway of Boonton, NJ passed away on Saturday April 20th, 2013 at the age of 89 after a short illness. Bill grew up and spent most of his life in Boonton. He worked many years with the family business, Floyd W Tredway Moving & Storage until the sale of the business in 1974. He also worked for the County of Morris Court House in the purchasing department until his retirement. Mr. Tredway was a Veteran, serving in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a volunteer in the Boonton Fire Department for 50 years. Bill was also a volunteer for the Kiwanis Ambulance Service for over 19 years and volunteered at Riverside Hospital where he met his wife Judith. He was well known in the community and often helped organize events for the town. In addition, he acted as a contributing historian for the town of Boonton. Bill was an avid letter writer, enjoyed new cars and traveling with his wife, Judith. Surviving is his cherished wife Judith K. (Yindra); step children Peter and Jeffrey Stickle, Karen Gureasko and Susan Cronin; a daughter Donna Tredway; grandchildren Amanda, Ethan, Meagan and Allison Stickle. He was predeceased by his wife Jackie and his son David. Services were private for the family in care of the Codey & Mackey Funeral Home, Boonton.
