DENVILLE---Theresia Zimmerman Witzl died Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville following a brief illness. She was 86. Born in Hungary, she lived in Germany for a time before coming to this country in 1952. She settled in Little Falls, living there for 24 years, then lived in East Byrne, NY for 15 years before moving to Denville in 2000. Mrs. Witzl was a homemaker. She was a longtime member and active participant (especially swimming) at the Lakeland Hills YMCA, Mountain Lakes. Her husband, John, died in 1998. She was also predeceased by a son, Joseph in 1963, a daughter, Katherine in 1965 and her brother, Franz in 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Theresia "Tess" Mini and her husband Gary of Boonton Township; three sons, Frank and his wife Sonia of Budd Lake, John and his wife Theresa of Fredon Township and Peter and his wife Geetha of Byrum Township; two sisters, Maria Schenk of Germany and Louise Schories of Vernon Township. Also surviving are eight cherished grandchildren, Frank, Stephanie, Alex, Ashley, Steven, Kelly, Michael and Kimberley and a beloved great granddaughter, Alisha. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 11th at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 910 Birch St., Boonton with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Theresia's name may be made to the Lakeland Hills Y.M.C.A., 100 Fanny Rd., Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
