MOUNTAIN LAKES---Marcia Benton Hazel died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Morristown Medical Center following a long illness. She was 73.



Born in London, England in 1938 where her father was in the foreign service with the U.S. State Department, she grew up in Buffalo, NY. She lived in New York City before moving to Mountain Lakes in 1971.



She graduated from Washington National Cathedral, Washington, DC and then Wellesley College in 1959, receiving her bachelor's degree in mathematics.



Mrs. Hazel was a computer systems analyst and programmer with Exxon Mobil, Westvaco and Great Lakes Carbon, all New York, NY before retiring in 1985.



She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Karl E.; a sister Sarah Halsey of Fallbrook CA; two nieces, Kim Rouse and Wren McNiel and four great nieces and great nephews.



Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, Washington St., Boonton. There will be no hours of visitation.
