MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP---Helen F. (Personette) Emery died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Merry Heart at Boonton Township following a long illness. She was 82. Born in Morristown, she lived in Boonton before moving to Montville 59 years ago. Mrs. Emery was the animal control officer for Montville Township for 25 years before retiring in 2001. She also worked part-time as a school crossing guard with the Montville Board of Education for 30 years. Helen graduated from Boonton High School in 1946, was a former member of the Montville First Aid Squad and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, also Montville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Celusak in 1983, a grandson Kevin and a great granddaughter, Christine. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert; six daughters, Linda Masar of Delaware Water Gap, PA, Carol Caraballo of Montville, Nancy Tierney of Orlando, FL, Maryclaire Miranda of Oak Ridge, Patricia Simari of Denville and Gail Strumph of Montville; five sons, Robert and David, both of Montville, Edwin of Stockholm, Michael of Parsippany and John of Silverton, OR; 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15th at 10:00 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 5-8 PM only at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Helen' s name may be made to the animal shelter of your choice
