Walter Hermanowski died on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Care One at Morris Nursing Home in Parsippany following a brief illness. He was 95. Born in Nieswiez, Poland he came to the U.S. in 1965. He was a long time member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Greenpoint, NY. Mr. Hermanowski was a master shoe maker who made orthopedic shoes before retiring. He served in the Polish Air Force during WW II as a radio operator. His wife Natalia died in 1989. Survivors include his son Joseph M. Hermanowski and his wife Hanna of Montville. Daughter Jadwiga Krawczyk and her husband Jerry of Lindenhurst, NY. Three grandchildren: Roman Krawcyk and his wife Monica, Alexander and Julia Hermanowski. Two great grandchildren: James and Nicole Krawczyk.



The funeral Liturgy will be on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 215 Hill St. Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at Mackey Funeral Home, (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton NJ.
