MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP---Dale F. Gibson died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 88. Born in Monroe, New Hampshire, he lived in Clifton for a number of years before moving to the Towaco section of Montville in 1963. Mr. Gibson was a heavy equipment operator with Local #825 Operating Engineers, Springfield for 32 years before retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. His wife, Marion E. (Walker) Gibson, died in April of this year. He was also predeceased by a grandson, Teague; a brother, Elwin Gibson and a step-sister, Mary-Lou Halloran. He is survived by two sons, Kevin D. and his wife Anita of Towaco and David A. and his wife Barbara of Montague Township; a daughter, Linda C. DelRusso and her husband Christopher of Landing; two sisters, Ruth Emmons and Carolyn Fitzgerald, both of Monroe, NH; a step-sister, Jane Adams and her husband Don of Sanibel Island, FL and eight cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Andy, Greg, Liam, Michael, Dana, Walker and Collin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11th at 11:30 A.M. at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton with interment to follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Dale's name may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials & Tributes, One Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
