MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP---Anthony B. Scavolo died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Morris Hills Center, Morristown following a long illness. He was 89. Born in Stratford, London, England, he came to this country in 1986, living in Medford before moving to Montville in 1998. He served with the British Army during World War II. Mr. Scavolo was a dresser and dyer with Godalming Fur & Skin Co., Farnborough, Hampshire, U.K. for his entire working career before retiring in 1986. He was a parishioner at St. Pius X Church, Montville and a member of the Montville Senior Citizens and Parsippany Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Olive (nee Boden); a daughter, Elizabeth C. Ross and her husband Robert of Montville; a brother, Benjamin A. Scavolo and his wife Jennifer of England and two cherished grandchildren, Olivia Francine Ross and Joseph Anthony Ross. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, April 27th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, Montville with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Tony's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NJ Chapter, Suite 251, 400 Morris Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
