PARSIPPANY---Eileen (Tohill) Loiacono died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her home in Lake Hiawatha, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was 89. Born in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Royalty) Tohill. She was a graduate of Somerset, KY High School and also graduated from the Rogers School of Business. She had lived in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany for 53 years. Mrs. Loiacono was a homemaker. She was a parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany. In addition, she was an avid bingo player, an excellent seamstress and an amazing cook. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T., in 2007. Also predeceasing her were her brothers, John, Leo and Michael Tohill and sister, Louise Ross. She was also predeceased by her son-in-laws, John Nardone and Robert Dircks and her beloved grandson, Robert Fortunato. Her family was of upmost importance to her. She is survived by four loving daughters, Catherine Nardone-Dircks of Denville, Patricia Prestipino of Ogdensburg, Joanne Fortunato and her husband Paul of Flanders and Theresa Diener and her husband Jeff of Newton; two brothers, James Tohill of Nashville, TN and William Tohill and his wife Lois of Chantilly, VA; a sister, Margaret Ruddle of Issaquah, WA; her sister-in-law, Alice DiGiglio and her husband Frank of New Hyde Park, NY; a great aunt, Teresa Howe of Kearny and her beloved aide and friend, Brigita. She cherished, and is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Kathleen, John, Russell, Brian, Gregory, Dana, Victoria, Paul John, John and Jenny and her three great-grandchildren, Emma, John and Sophia. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Eileen's Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14th at 9:30 A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Baldwin Rd., Parsippany with entombment to follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum, Morris Township. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home ( www.mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Eileen's name may be made to the OHS Foundation, 23 Pocono Rd., Suite 100, Denville, NJ 07834. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
