Eleanor Laurinatis Bamford AGE: 83 . Formerly of Boonton Eleanor Laurinatis Bamford, 83, formerly of Boonton, NJ, died on January 4, 2012 in Winston-Salem, NC. While living in New Jersey, she was a very active member of her community and participated in many local charities. She was an organizing member of Fan Fair, a fundraising event for Riverside Hospital. Her Lithuanian heritage was very important to her and of which she was very proud. She graduated from Caldwell College for Women with a major in English. She had a great passion for literature & loved writing short stories. Mrs. Bamford leaves her husband of 58 years, David L. Bamford of Winston-Salem; her children and their spouses, Gail Bamford (Rance Hopwood) of Vienna, VA, JoAnn Martin (Jay) of Dublin, OH, Bruce Bamford of Winston-Salem, and Julie Vidovich (Jay) of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Robert Bamford and Jetta Brown, David and Jenny Bamford, Ryan , Kyle and Sydney Martin, Robert O'Grady, and Zoe and Tess Vidovich; great grandchild, Gabriel Brown; and sisters, Patricia Rotella and Barbara Wyatt. She was preceded in death by two children. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 14 at St. John's Episcopal Church, Boonton with interment to follow in Rockaway Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John Episcopal Church, 226 Cornelia St., Boonton, NJ 07005. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
