Thomas H. Boyd, 86, of Mountain Lakes, NJ passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at home with his family. Son of a pediatrician, Dr. David Hartin Boyd and Janet Mabon Boyd, he was born on October 17, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA and prepared at Shady Side Academy, Pittsburgh, PA and Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME, serving honorably in World War II in the US Navy. His sales career was in the chemical industry working for Pittsburgh Coke & Chemical, Heyden Chemicals, Tenneco Chemicals and Perstorp Polyols, retiring in 1994. His residences include Pittsburgh, PA, Devon, PA and Mountain Lakes, NJ. He was a member of The Community Church, Mountain Lakes, NJ. "Tom" loved the game of golf, getting six holes-in-one and was a member of Rockaway River Country Club, Denville, NJ for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years "Sis", their children, spouses and grandchildren: daughter Trudy Jackson and husband, Jerry of Louisville, OH and children Tom and Wendy; daughter Marion Butler of Mountain Lakes, NJ and son Peter and wife Christian; daughter Janet Boff of Glen Side, PA and sons Dan and Mark; son Thomas Hartin Boyd Jr. and wife Iana of The Hague, Netherlands and children Michelle and Thomas III. A memorial service will be held at The Community Church of Mountain Lakes on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be private at The Memorial Garden at The Community Church.
