BOONTON---Sean M. Sutter died Friday, December 23, 2011 at his home. He was 39. Born in Orange, he lived most of his life in Boonton, then West Orange for 2 years before returning to Boonton 3 months ago.. He graduated from Boonton High School in 1990 where he played football and was an all-state lacrosse player. He received his bachelor's degree in sociology in 1995 from the University of Connecticut, where he also played football, and received his elementary teaching certification through the alternate route program with the Paterson Public School System. He then taught with that system for the past 12 years. He was predeceased by a sister, Kimberley Anne Sutter in 1966. Sean is survived by his parents, Morris and Beverly (Callahan) Sutter of Boonton; a brother, Robert S. Sutter and his wife Sharon of Boonton; two sisters, Tracee Sutter of Boonton Township and Kristeen Caravela and her husband Thomas of West Caldwell and his loving nieces and nephews, Dean, Ava, Shane, Savannah, Sidney, Shea and Summer. Also surviving is his faithful companion, Finnegan. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 28th at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Boonton. The interment will be private. Friends may call Tuesday (today) from 4-7 PM only at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Sean's name may be made to the Montville Animal Shelter, 86 River Rd., Montville, NJ 07045. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
