Obituary of Thomas Patrick Kelly

Thomas Patrick Kelly, the eldest son of Robert and Gail Robertson Kelly of Tewksbury, NJ, passed away on October 21, 2011 while on a business trip to Jinan, Shandong, China. He was 43. He is survived by his parents; his wife Xiao Bin ("Sherry") Peng of Shanghai, China; a sister, Maureen Kelly Samson, her husband Steven and their sons Jack and Reid of Mountain Lakes, NJ; a sister, Maribeth Kelly Anderson and her husband Scott of Washington, DC; and a brother, Edward (Ted) Kelly, his wife Keri and their son Seamus of Olney, MD. Thomas graduated from Gill Saint Bernard's School in Bernardsville, NJ, received his bachelor of arts degree from George Washington University, Washington, DC and his MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Thomas resided in China for the past twenty years and was living in Shanghai. He spent his entire professional career in China in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently employed as the Senior Vice-President for Asia with Sanofi-Aventis. Thomas was an incredibly strong leader whose dedication and passion was an inspiration to his colleagues and friends. He will be dearly missed. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 7th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 10 North Pocono Rd., Mountain Lakes, NJ with interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Boonton, NJ. Friends may call Sunday, November 6th from 2-5 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home (mackeyfh.com), 107 Essex Ave., Boonton. Memorial contributions in Thomas' name may be made to St. Peter's Orphanage, 170 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ 07834. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
