Obituary of Nancy K. Fall

Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Nancy K. Fall, 80, of Montville Township, NJ, and Naples, FL, passed away from lung cancer on January 24, 2024, with her husband and son at her side.

Born in Niagara Falls, Nancy was the daughter of Ann and Paul K’Burg. She grew up in Augusta, GA, and graduated from The Academy of Richmond County in 1961 and the University of Georgia in 1965. She worked as a stewardess for United Airlines from 1967 to 1970.  Nancy met the love of her life and husband of 55 years, Herb Fall, on a skiing trip in Vermont. The couple married on October 19, 1968, years before stewardesses were allowed to wed.  In 1969, they settled in Pine Brook, NJ, where they raised two children, David and Lynn.

Nancy was a kind, patient, generous, and gentle soul with a big heart and a bright smile. She was particularly proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments and will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.  Nancy was a dedicated volunteer in the local schools and library, a Cub Scout mother, and a Brownie leader.  A two-time survivor of breast cancer, Nancy volunteered for the American Cancer Society from 1988 - 1998 and the Carol Simon Cancer Center from 1999 - 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, taking walks, golfing, and reading mystery novels.  In recent years, the couple split their time between Naples, FL, Londonderry, VT, and Montville, NJ.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Herbert; her son, David (Lori) Fall of Towaco NJ; her daughter, Lynn (Brad) Falk of Swarthmore, PA; and six grandchildren: Matthew, Morgan, and Kyra Fall; Anna, Isabelle, and Avery Falk; as well as her sister, Virginia Crutchfield; her brother, Henry K’Burg, her niece, Carol Iyer; and her nephew, Ken Crutchfield.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 - 4:00pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Codey and Mackey Funeral Home in Boonton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
