Obituary of Millicent Eleanor Hopper

The family of Millicent E. Hopper, nee Maring, announces her passing on Thursday, October 26, 2023, surrounded by family.

Millie, as she was affectionately known, was born in Orange, NJ in July of 1958 to Reuben P. Maring, Sr. and his wife, Joan B. (Noble) Maring. She spent time in Parsippany and Lincoln Park before moving to Boonton. 

Millie married the love of her life, Kenneth W. Hopper and they were very happy in their life together, until Ken's sudden passing in 2020.  She worked at Employment  Horizons in Cedar Knolls and spent time with her family, friends and her fellow Jehovah's Witnesses. Millie was a wonderful person with a big heart. She enjoyed traveling, music, dogs and cats; and changing her hair color.

Millie is survived by her sisters, June Schnetzer and her husband, Russell; and Virginia Carrabello; her brothers, Reuben P. Maring, Jr. and Christian Maring; her sister by choice, Clare Rooney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 72 Jacksonville Rd, Towaco on Saturday, November 18th at 2:00pm.
