John F. Stefanick, 91, of Basking Ridge, NJ, formerly of Mendham and Boonton, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Please join the family on Monday, July 10th for the visitation at Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton from 5:00 to 7:00pm. The Prayer Service will be 11:00am, Tuesday, July 11th, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Boonton.

John was born in August 1931 to John G. and Catherine (DuJak) Stefanick in Boonton. He spent his childhood there, graduating high school and then Seton Hall University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance. John met and married Jean Habuda in 1954 and they celebrated 68+ years together. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and he and Jean moved to Germany after the wedding.

John returned to the U.S. and settled in Mendham, NJ. He went to work for the Mennen Company of Morris Plains in their Sales Division, before retiring in 1992.

John enjoyed playing golf and tennis in his spare time. He was a member of the Mendham Golf & Tennis Club for many years. He traveled throughout Europe during his time in Germany.

John was predeceased by his parents, and his siblings, Eugene and Irene. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean M. Stefanick; his cousin, Andrew Dujack; and many friends.
