Obituary of Jeffrey William Moorhouse
Jeffrey William Moorhouse, 75, of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA to George and Elizabeth (Carpenter) Moorhouse in June of 1949, Jeff grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and then moved to Boonton, NJ in 1965 with his four sisters, and graduated from Boonton High School. He began his career in the telecommunications field, working as an installer for New Jersey Bell, then progressing to a systems designer and Sales Specialist for AT&T. Jeff retired from Avaya as a Sales and Marketing Specialist in 2014.
Jeff met Donna (George) in 1979 while working at New Jersey Bell. They married in 1983 and settled in Boonton Township, raising their three boys in the idyllic community. Jeff was active with the Boonton Township Recreation Department and Boonton Recreational Wrestling where he coached for many years. When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, Jeff could be found on the golf course. He was a member of Peace Pipe Country Club where he found many friends who turned into family.
Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sally Reust; Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; his cherished sons, Sean and his wife, Kate; Jason and his wife, Liz; and Michael and his wife, Brittany; his loving grandchildren, Avery, Ryleigh, Olivia, Taylor, Jacob, Aiden, Addie, Jack, Abbie, Evie, Brooks and Bradley; his sisters, Dianne Lorber, Pam Lorenzo and Patty Moore; many nieces and nephews; and his numerous friends and co-workers.
Please join the family on Saturday, March 8th for visitation from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Norman Dean Home for Funerals, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. A prayer service and words of remembrance will be begin at 4:15pm.
