Obituary of Alice J. Hugo
Alice J. Hugo of Boonton Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at a remarkable age of 97 years.
Born in Newark, NJ to John and Catherine (Craven) Zimmer, Alice lived in Newark to the age of 9 when the family moved to Lyndhurst. She met and married Frank A. Hugo and together they shared their life in Boonton Township.
In addition to being a homemaker and raising her son and daughter, Alice was a licensed realtor who worked locally in Morris County. She dedicated many years volunteering in the VITA Program helping seniors with their tax returns yearly in local libraries. She was also a member of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club and Parsippany Seniors.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Hugo in 1982. Surviving are her devoted children and their spouses, Frank and Judith Hugo, Phyllis and William Garro; loving grandchildren, Dawn Cote and her husband, Thomas, William Garro, III and his wife Nicole, Christopher Garro, Lyn Johnson and her husband, Phillip, and Jill and her husband, David; cherished great granddaughters, Grace & Elizabeth Cote.
